Email Settings:

Outlook Express Settings

Use these instructions to check your Outlook Express settings if you are receiving errors when trying to send or receive email.

  1. Open OUTLOOK EXPRESS
    1. Click on TOOLS from the menu bar
    2. Click on ACCOUNTS from the drop down menu
  2. Click on the MAIL tab of the Internet Accounts window
  3. Click once on YOUR ACCOUNT, usually shown as mail.fisi.net
  4. Click on the PROPERTIES button
    1. Verify that you have a name in the Name line
    2. Verify that you have your correct email address in the E-mail Address line
  5. Click on the SERVERS tab
    1. Verify that the Incoming mail(POP3): is set to mail.fisi.net
    2. Verify that the Outgoing mail(SMTP): is set to mail.fisi.net
    3. Verify your Account name is correct. This is the portion of your email address that is before the @
    4. Verify your Password by deleting the the stars and carefully retyping your password
    5. Put a check in the box My server requires authentication, as shown below.
    6. Click on the OK button
  6. Click on the Close button
